Change to my season plan...I'm leaving you soon...
Ok JOS crew…some changes to my season plan.
I have decided to do 70.3 Kansas, which means an acceleration to my season and an early OS exit. I'll post to Macro to get advice on exactly how to transition, but my home-cooked plan tries to maximize OS time and drop me into the full HIM plan in week #5 (April 16). That said, my current idea has the following modifications to the OS:
a. Skip the testing week and use the next 3 weeks to do week # 16/17/18 of the OS. These are back to FTP focus, and have longer run volume on Sundays
b. Lengthen the Saturday bike (i.e. do the HM plan bike workout assuming an outdoor ride is feasible)
c. Do the Saturday OS bike (VO2) on Thursday (replacing the FTP workout, since Saturday will now be FTP)
d. Swim 2x/week (Mon/Fri)
If you all have comments let me know. I'll continue to post workouts but they will be all different from the ones on the JOS schedule at this point.
Cheers,
Matt

Matt - good luck. You've had a really good OS, so I'm predicting you will have a strong, fast race season.
I didn't think it would end this early but plans change!
Starting tomorrow I'm dropping into the HIM adv plan, week 12 of 20, for 8 weeks of fun until 70.3 Kansas on 6/10.
I'll be posting my workouts in the newly-created group "Summer HIM Training 2012" so if any of you cut over to the HIM plan in the next month or two feel free to move over to that group and keep posting.
Cheers, Matt.
