Week 5 of 12 So here it is!

Well so here it is laid out 12 weeks of core. This will bring alot of you up to the Jan OS,me included! This is a loosely based but focused trg on the core as we all are doing it differ ways, i.e. group classes, P90x, individual trg and other. The goal for all of us is to be stronger. As the new gangster on top(untill I get toppled) here is what I propose.

The Challenge:. During your core workouts include the exercise of the week. The Top dog of the week is the most time spent on the exercise. To get it started the EOW is Plank.

Exercise of the week: Plank Full and Obliques. Winner then proposes new exercise or a move of the week with their perameters!

Keep a tally of your weekly EOW exercise time and post by Sunday on the thread! I will contact winner Sunday evening and they will give their game for the following week. So keep on tap of the thread!

As a side here there has been 370 views 50 replies by 5 members only. So in total 320 views with no input. As a good friend of EN(CG) who has passed(sad with tears) said to me once "Don't be a lurker you have valuable knowledge, be engaged" . I totally agree with his motto so I hope you see it this way as well! See you on the core wave!

  • Thanks for taking over Steve! I'm in for some plank this week. I think this week will be my last with the Asylum workouts. I wasn't really into my workout this morning and I'm starting the bike focus plan next Monday, so I think I'm going to want shorter core workouts. Have to think about it this week.
  • Well Core routine done here Mon Eve and after 1 hour was able to log in 7 min of planking of the 60 min. So

    Total plank so far: 7 min. MTF out!

     

  • So here it is Tuesday, P90X done for this evening with AB X completed and a plank routine done

    Total ab time 25 min with 8 min of plank routine completed.

    I think I am talking to myself could this be true and if so, ugg!
  • Sorry Steve - out of town yesterday. I managed to squeeze in 4 minutes of plank before I left, though, 1 minute each position. Same today, along with Speed & Agility and 4 mile run. 8 minutes of plank total for the week now. I'm going to try to get in at least 4 minutes tomorrow and Friday as well. We'll see how it goes.
  • Long night last night with my daughter throwing up and not feeling well. Home with her today, but managed to get in 20 minutes of Insanity/core and 40 minutes on the trainer. Slipped in 4 minutes of plank, too.

    12 minutes of plank total for the week now. About 80 minutes of other core stuff, too.
  • Nice quarterback sneak on the planking Dave. Thursday evening, bailed on my tempo run after the warm up( feeling the suck). So to do some sort of redemption. 20 mins of stretching and flex. Followed with 25 min of core. Big accomplishment this evening was 10 minutes straight of plank, oblique,full, oblique,full,oblique,full, oblique,full,oblique,full.... yah got the picture. Then I collapsed done!

    Core for week 3 workouts, approx 110 min, with 25 min to planking.

  • So here again we are Saturday am and a run in the done column. So what was next Ab ripper X followed with other core moves. So in total 25 min core completed with 8 min of planking. Let's see what is left for the rest of the weekend. Stay safe peeps!
