Weekend & Pricing Update...

Folks -

Doing some research on the pool for Saturday (2 hours ;$125/hour) and an indoor computrainer studio to ride in should weather not cooperate ($500). So we are looking at a fixed cost of $750 with the ability in the CT studio to host 15 riders. That puts the per athlete cost at about $50.

This would be on top of shipping your bike, etc. Other options include a shorter ride if weather SUX or finding an indoor spin studio (no bike cost)...what are your thoughts???

  • $50 sounds damned reasonable for that.

    Mike

  • I agree $50 is very reasonable, but do we have 15 riders (with bikes) lined up?

I'm not going to be able to commit to bringing a bike and I'm only intown for Sunday and Monday. I definitely want to meet up with the team and do as much as I can still though.
  • Yep - $50 is fine and I'll have my bike.

    Chris

  • I'm in for the bike.  Even if you make me ride indoors.

  • i'm in and the price seems reasonable. if someone is coming into town and needs to borrow a bike i'll have a 56 cm roadie if they want. Just bring your own pedals. I don't mind riding the tri bike out of the bars if we're outside.
  • Am planning only to run (hopefully faster than ever in this race) and meet up w/ folks as possible.

  • I would swim and ride. But 112 miles indoors? Not sure I am up for that.
  • Sorry for the delay. 112 miles indoors sounds awful. If I can hook up a bike I"m in for whatever...count me in.
  • Folks we only have 8 folks interested at this point in time. I think I am going to have to cancel the whole shebang. Maybe we settle for an expo meet up and dinner on Saturday? Thoughts????

I would prefer a Sunday meet up if possible

  • Thanks Patrick - I'd up for meeting everyone at the expo and dinner on Sat.

    Chris

  • Thanks for the effort Patrick. I'm open to whatever else. I can't take the day off to watch the marathon this year, so I'd love to have a meet up Sat or Sun or both. Whatever...
  • I'm with Matt - Sunday meetup would be better for me. I'm flying in Saturday and meeting friends of friends I'm running with for dinner on Saturday. Any chance we can hook up a bike ride on Sunday sometime. How about a ride in the morning and meetup for brunch/lunch somewhere nearby.
  • The lunch is Sunday, 12pm at the Atlantic Fish Co. We could do a Sunday AM ride, but not sure how many would play along. Bill, where will you be staying?
  • I'm staying with friends in some suburb. I'll call them and ask where it is. We were planning on hitting the expo on Sunday, so we'll probably show up for the lunch and then do that. I'll let you know if it's just me or whether my 2 friends will be coming along too.
  • we have room for them, just let me know!
  • Count on 3 of us. I can't imagine what else they'll be doing. See you soon!
  • sounds great. remember my cell is 617 513 3830 if you need me...
  • Hey, nice to meet you all at lunch on Sunday. Hope everyone had a good day Monday!
