Is IM Texas 2019 going to be a shit show again?
After all the bad talk about IM Texas 2018 be such an awful exasperating experience, I was wondering if anyone heard if any improvements have been planned?
To me there seems to be too many negatives to consider racing there:
non-wetsuit "dirty water swim"
draft fest bike
boring multi loop bike course with questionable safety
Any input or new info appreciated.

The water will still be dirty and the bike course will still be boring. Hopefully the ref situation will be improved. Only about 10 people know the ground truth on what happened. My knowledge is from the inside but still 3rd hand. In 2018, the decision to pull refs off the course was made by the police over WTC objections due to careless driving by moto/refs, and one in particular, early in the race. That driver will not be back and moto drivers/bike refs will be carefully briefed on how they conduct themselves as well as how they enforce the rules. Fingers crossed for a clean race in 2019.
