Zion Ultra Marathons & trail half marathon

Does anyone in this team have been to Zion?

I signed up for one of my bucket list, Zion trail half marathon(vacation race) on April with my friend.

However, now my friend can't make it to go and I am stuck between 2 choices "refunds" or "still go alone".

If i decide to go, I'm flying from MA to Las Vegas and thinking to rent a car, driving to a hotel where might be around Virgin, or Springdale area.

So , wondering if this area is safe to travel around alone as a women.

any recommendations? (hotel, supermarket, transportations, etc.)

The area is super safe, probably one of the safest places in the country. I'd suggest staying in St George (about 1.5 hours from Vegas) or Springdale if you're going to also explore Zion NP. One of the most spectacular places in the world.

Yes, I'm looking for a room in Springdale and will explore Zion area. do you think a day trip is enough for zion national park? and were there some supermarket around the area?

Zion isn't that big for a national park and you can hit the highlights in a
long day. Get to Angel's Landing early before the crowds arrive. Then
take the walk up to the Narrows.

My memory is there is a supermarket walking distance from most of the
hotels. Make sure you get a murder burger at Oscars (if you're a
carnivore).
