  • Cool, thanks for pointing that out Paul.  Bib #836 here.

  •  1992.

I'd guess 1700+ male, 700+ female, up to 2700, maybe 22-2300 will hit the water (not counting pros).

  • and of course you are all updating the race tracker sheet with this info (hint, hint): https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AhjMH2dlb-cDdG5KN1lFeU9tMUhjRlU4RmRPTEpFZnc&hl=en#gid=13
  • @ Patrick - I assume you'll not be there in person. I hope you can work up a video send off/pep talk for us, though.
  • 2509 for me - 2468 for my training partner Selina Carpenter

It goes pro men, pro women, locals, men youngest to oldest, then women youngest to oldest. Sr. Madonna is not listed this year (she's 80), but there may be less than 15 "above" you.

  • In #1878. I'm looking forward in getting to meet to all.
  • Is there anywhere to see how many in your age group, other than the text participants file? Do we get to see that before race day? I counted 10 in my age group signed up and if 7 don't show, I may have a shot at placing.
  • @ Donna - Actually, the awards (which include time up on the "podium" in front of everyone) go through the top five places. (14:10 in your AG last year)

And, I tried months ago and again last week to grab the list and sort by age, but had no success. All previous years, they have had participants by AG; this years, that's apparently gone with the Gatorade

  • @ Donna and Al - this isn't too hard. I just took the text file, copied it into Excel, changed text to column with space delimiters, repaired the data for folks with 3 names (prefixes, suffixes, hyphen numbers, Juniors, etc) then added a data filter. I show 2698 in the participant list. There are 17 in F55-59, 5 in F60-64, and 1 champion F66-70. Of course, this presumes that everyone on the participant list got a number. If a few scratched before they assigned numbers, and the list wasn't edited, then there would be an overcount.

Tell me how to post my file and I will. Or e-mail me at trihuffs@tampabay.com and I'll wing it to you.
  • Since everyone is reading this thread...

Want to make sure that everyone has read THIS thread and knows to enter their race numbers in the spreadsheet, review the dinner plans and pay for chow, etc. Thanks!

    2700 participants...jeezus. That's about 1000 more than when I first raced there in '03.

VERY curious to see what number of starters they report at the pre-race dinner.

  • I have been crazy busy lately and training has been lacking.  But my number is #116.  I am involved in the Janus Charity Challenge (JCC) so sometimes they will put us in front of the local athletes as far as numbers go, plus they give us some schwag.  I dropped off my bike yesterday for Tri Bike Transport.  My big race ends on Saturday at 2:00 pm when the results of the JCC are announced.  So I will know then if I am on the podium for the JCC!!  Then all I have to do is go out and play around with 2700 other crazies on Sunday.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in CDA on Thursday at the dinner at Friday at the 4 Keys talk.
