Arriving in Louisville?

Hello all,

I was wondering when everyone is planning to arrive in Louisville.  I have a Southwest Airlines flight that arrives around 3:30pm on Friday.  Do you think that is too late?

    I've been debating that very thing. I believe I have reservations from Thursday - Monday. I can't decide if I want to get there earlier or stay later. What's everyone else doing?

    I am planning on getting there Wednesday afternoon. I need a little more time to go on a shake down cruise on the bike, scope out the swim, over spend at the expo and map out specator spots for family and friends. Hope to connect with you EN'ers while we are there!

    I'm planning on getting there on Thursday afternoon. I'm even staying over on Monday as my parents (and husband) are coming and I figured we would all benefit from my more relaxed state of mind the next day. Seemed like a good idea at the time!

    Im probably getting in on Thursday.....there's not alot of safe riding around race site during rush hours so be careful(midafternoon and AM aren't too bad)......I will do the Friday AM swim....EN did their 4 Keys Talk at swim site after that swim....I suspect we will do our EN dinner Friday night.

    I'm planning on getting there on Thursday evening. I did that in '07 and it worked well. Swim and get registration stuff done on Friday, check in bike and relax on Saturday. You're definitely going to want to recon the bike course. Big rollers everywhere.

    Ok, I changed my flight and hotel to arrive on Thursday afternoon. The last thing I want to do is add some stress of traveling to check in and race day. Thanks for the responses all!

    So I changed my reservation to Thursday night so I can do the Friday am swim and hear the 4 keys talk afterward (if it happens again that way). Thanks, Michael, for the insight. I do hope the EN dinner is Friday night to get the most of us there.

    I am thinking about booking a flight that arrives on Thursday evening. Does anyone know we will have a get together on Thursday night with the coaches? Time and Place? Coming from WA, with the time diff, it's a long day for me, and most of the fights don't arrive there until 6ish.

    Driving in on Thursday AM - get into the hotel - get register then see you at dinner - Friday swim ........out Monday and drive back to St Louis.

    Boy the finisher lines are starting way early. At CDA in June, the store opened at 7:00 , I got in line at 6:40 (couldn't sleep) and had > 100 people in front of me. When I got done shoping at 7:20 there must have been over 500 people in line. Ouch.

    Get there early for finisher gear. At LP there was nothing left in my size by 10:30AM.
