  • Sounds like a great weekend for you! I did a Core Fitness weekend warrior/Spooky Sprint 5K challenge. It was great. Best part of the whole thing.....18 year old was so sore yesterday she could barely walk (from the same challenge) and mom (me) who is 31 years her senior wasn't that beat up feeling.
  • I'm sure glad our first Bike FTP test wasn't the day after Halloween.  Almost makes me feel sorry for the Nov OS folks (almost!).

  • Loving the OS so far. Feeling stronger every day. Hopefully it will show in the next round of testing image
  • I agree David. I really feel the increase in strength this go round!! Ride outside today. The weekend ride. It was fabulous!!! Gotta be the last ride outside of the season. Why does the nose run non stop when the temp drops below 60????
  • I hate getting the sniffles on the bike. I sometimes get them when it is 80 out too. How does that work? Really messes with my breathing during hard intervals.
  • Seeing progress... Looks like a repeat week on the bike in the Intermediate OS. Perhaps it is time to push the Watts.

A decent week for bike, taking the run intervals at .5mi. Seem to tolerate these better than mile. I've had several running injuries over last year so being cautious. Agree with  leaky nose hose in cold. I ended up buying a Snot Spot to fit over my glove, a washable absorbant fleece product. It helps !!

  •  Good run this morning, i.e., I hurt a lot.  I did yesterday's ride on the trainer after I got home from work last night, so I only had about 10 hours between that ride and this morning's run.  That's really not enough time with all this intensity...

  • Stole some time at work to get my run in. Light rain/mist and 55 degree weather so perfect day for mile intervals. Managed to hold my pace throughout but dragged in on the jog back. Did my trainer work out last night too so could of used a little more rest. Oh well its the out season!

This had me laughing.  I'm either going to order one or make one!  What a great idea!!!!  My kids stay far away from my winter run gloves cuz they know my nose runs non stop on winter runs.  Of all my stuff they take, I don't have to worry bout that....this is hilarious.

  • Did yesterday's brick today. I shift my work outs around so that I can run with my running peeps of 10 years twice a week. Brick felt good. Norm power was up. I don't remember who told me to back off in between the intervals, but it makes a HUGE difference. Thanks! Getting excited to track the IMFL peeps!!!
  • Snot Spot looks good. Maybe I can stop using my shirt. Gets pretty gross by the end.
  • Getting back on bike tomorrow for light ride after MCM. Legs feeling OK today still a little stiff. Hope to feel good enough to pick back up week 5 of OS next Tue.
  • Was doggin' the bike this week for today's 1/2 marathon. Downhill course - set a PR 1:33:30 - right at my 5k test Vdot. Needless to say, I am not looking forward to the week 6 bike intervals!!!
  •  Great job Christian!'

Went to the track this afternoon to do intervals.  I have been feeling crummy all day.  Not sure why but totally bonked after about 15 minutes so headed home.  Hope I feel better tomorrow for swim test.

  • I get to join this group 6 weeks in. Rich recommended I skip from week 1 completion to now. so, tomorrow, my gift is 2x20'. Ugh.....
  • First time back into riding after 2 week vacation with running only.  Funny how those intervals seem SOO MUCH LONGER than from before I left on vacation.  That DST must be goofing up my watch as 10 minutes seems like 60!

Looks like everyone is doing well, good to hear.

    Steve
