5 Weeks to Go Featuring Eye of the Tiger by Survivor in Honor of Coach P!

Happy Sunday IMC Rock Stars!

Hope y’all had a great week and are enjoying the Lake Placid updates today!!!

I had a good week including a great long run and even survived the 4.5 hour bike yesterday. I have yet to hit all the FTP work on that dang workout!   I am proud of myself for not giving up, though, and I was able to hit the later Z3 and Z2 stuff just fine... moral victory!   We had our two days of summer here (yesterday and today) and I was able to do some sweat tests. Survey says? I sweat a LOT!

In honor of Coach P's race today, this week’s theme song is Eye of the Tiger by Survivor.

Risin' up, back on the street

Did my time, took my chances

Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet

Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast

You change your passion for glory

Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past

You must fight just to keep them alive

Chorus:

It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight

Risin' up to the challenge of our rival

And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night

And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat

Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry

They stack the odds 'til we take to the street

For we kill with the skill to survive

chorus

Risin' up, straight to the top

Have the guts, got the glory

Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop

Just a man and his will to survive

chorus

  • Glad you had two days of summer, Jenn! I would willingly send you some of ours if I could! Sooo looking forward to getting out west later this week and getting out of this heat and humidity. This week, because of the heat (and heat index going north of 100 most days), I left the intensity out of the workouts and just tried to get through the volume. The one exception was yesterday's bike when I went back down to the basement to do the ABP ride on the trainer. Had to do some WORK! Otherwise, a good week. And, yup, I sweat a LOT too!

Hope everyone else had a good week out there!
