  • kool... I jumped out of traineroad when I ended my last OS perhaps when I start it up again I'll jump back in.
  • Just downloaded the workout creator and did my own workout tonight.

    TR was a total game changer before.. Now it's friggin game over. Even though I have a powertap, and a Fluid2 trainer (which requires warmup, as its resistance changes with heat), TR is easily the best $10/month one can spend for improving bike power, IMO.

    Rumer has it this OS is going to HURT but in a good way.  I used this last OS with Sufferfest and would be completly wiped after the workouts.  The OS has some really tough workouts but there is something special about seeing how your effort is stacking up across the interval that a normal head unit can't provide.  It also makes spikes and coasts much more obvious so you are further encouraged to ride steady.

  • How cool would it be if we could have a "virtual outseason" comparison group via trainer road? compete with others using the same OS plan so to speak.

    I heard there were some significant glitches in the new beta that came out regarding the workout creator so I just left the old version on for now.  Do you think it is worth downloading the beta of the workout creator at this point?

  • @Ryan -

    I only downloaded one of the beta versions - it seems like Nate is opting to release after a handful of glitch fixes rather than make people wait, so it's like a new beta is out every couple days.

    The glitches I saw were mostly in creating workouts - just a tad awkward when creating intervals. After a few mistakes and screw ups and having to start over, I got the hang of what I was doing that was making things screwy. So, I'd say it's somewhere between an engineering level release, and a consumer level release.

    To be honest, though - I'm kinda not bothering yet because we're supposed to have OS workouts in TR. So until there is something to be concerned with, I'm not concerned with anything

    @Dusty -

    I thought the same thing!  I almost put a suggestion into Nate @ TR that he should enable some grouping of friends or something within TR, so we could track each other.  But I didn't want to distract him from customized workouts, which is far more important, IMO image
