Baystate Half - massive 5+ minute PR

Feel kinda lame posting about a half marathon, but it was a good sized PR.

Eight weeks of the GF plan results in VDOT going from 47 (tested just a few weeks ago) to 51.

  • Ryan - A half marathon is no joke... a beautiful combination of speed and endurance is needed to do well at this distance...so no need to feel lame.

    Congrats on the PR!!  1:29 is an awesome time.  Well done.

  • Very cool dude, congrats and thanks for sharing!! I'm going to run a half-marathon next week, and it's possible that I might PR. I've been wanting to break that elusive sub-1:30 mark for so long!
  • Congrats !!! Not lame at all you followed the plan and It worked for you and thats what information needs to get out there. SO after my marathon I wan't to rest reset then get me some of that GF plan.
  • Very nice work and congrats on that hard earned PR! I recently made a much smaller PR on the Hampton HM course and failed to enter the sub 1:30 club by 16 seconds. Maybe next year I will join your club ! Looks like that GF plan works!
  • Outstanding!!! I've got the sub-1:30 half on my list of goals for next year, so very jealous at the moment!!
  • A PR is always worth a report, especially a milestone like this.
