big bike week immediately after OS V02 stuff

Looking ahead to late March/early April, my outseason plan has me finishing the 6-week v02-type block, but instead of heading right back into the FT stuff, I'm taking a 10-14 day big bike holiday.  Think "volume" - lots of JRA miles (I like time in the saddle  ... what can i say).

Does this undermine the possible benefits of the earlier vo2 work?    Or, in EN parlance, if i've raised my roof by x during the v02 block, is there then a detraining - or lowering of the roof - if I don't get to FTP work right away?

Dave, I wouldn't think so. I don't think it would hurt anything and you could always work in FTP stuff into your regular riding if you felt like it. You like riding your bike...ride it...a lot, don't over think it
