    So you mentioned that it's a good idea to keep a ~1-1.5 hr weekly hammerfest ride throughout most of the year. Does this apply to the OS as well? I definitely see the value of those sort of rides, but I'm afraid of overworking myself too early (especially if the OS plan starts out with something bite-sized like 2x6" @ FTP). There are some local group rides that I'd like to join to keep things fun and interesting, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. Last year I confined myself to my trainer for most of the OS, and I totally burned out my brain from that...

    Maybe I'm overthinking this. See, I'm the type of guy who uses WKO to count the number of minutes I've spent at or above FTP just to make sure I've met some minimum quota for a workout.
