  • That's a pretty good one! No ghosts allowed here....my three ladies are terrified off all things that go bump in the night in October...everytime my overweight kitty jumps off something, everyone jumps!!!! image
  • Sorry!  I've been travelling so I'm still catching up to all the threads....this is a true story.

When my son was about 2 years old, my wife was changing him in the nursery on the changing table.  He was sitting up when he looked out the nursery door and said "Ghost - Grandpapa".   Sylvie looked out the door and saw nothing.  She said: "What"?   He repeated "Ghost....Grandpapa"!    He had never met his Grandpapa.  He passed on two years before my son was born.   Sylvie put my son down on the ground and asked him to show her a picture of the ghost.  He ran out of the nursery and into the living room and pointed at a picture of his Grandpapa!    He then pointed back to the original spot where he had looked previously and said "Ghost - Grandpapa"!!!   And then said:  "Hi Grandpapa!"   And then ran off to play!

Totally freaked my wife out!   True story!

  • Here's another true story. I do not believe in ghosts but cannot explain this one. I was living in a 260 year old home in Stoke Ferry, England with my wife and oldest son from my first marriage ... he was a senior in high school at the time. The house was part of a large estate and had way more space than we needed. It was three stories. Our bedroom and office were on the 2nd floor. My son's room and his junk room were on the third floor. We also had a guest room on the 3rd floor directly above our master bedroom, and directly adjacent (shared wall) to my son's room. My wife had insisted many times that the guest room was haunted and that articles in the room continually moved around. I never believed it.

One night, i woke up immediately as there was loud unmistakeable footsteps in the guest room as if someone was running heavily across the old wooden floor. It traveled from one side of the room to another towards the window, then a dog started howling outside. I leaped out of bed, grabbed my bat and raced upstairs to check first on my son. He was in bed and I asked him several times if he was OK or if he heard anything. Total silence from him. So I went to the guest room next door and jumped in with my bat at the ready...NOTHING. My wife and I both heard this clearly. The next morning I asked my son if he heard anything in the guest room and his response was "do you mean the running across the floor?" I said yes, and then asked if he heard it why he didn't say anything when I came in his room to check on him. His response was that he was frozen with fear. We never saw anything, but that night still gives me chills when I think about it

  • Holly cow!!! Paul and Rich, you guys are freak'in me out...
