EN is to Seinfeld as "IAN!" is to Newman
As in, it drives me nuts!!!!
After another year of cheering and racing, I am getting really tired of explaining that my name is not Ian, that there is no Ian on EN, etc. It just so happens that yelling "Go E.N!" sounds a lot like "Go IAN!"
If you are on EN and your name is Ian, then you win…but from a Team and "brand" perspective, it really could be a lot better.
But I don't want to make something up, I want to hear from you.
Do we use "Nation" instead? Citizen?
Sort of silly, but kind of not…like if everyone pronounced NBC as "nimbuk"….just…not…right!
Let's see what you've got!!!
Thanks in advance!

No friggen way. Leave as is! This is the main reason I joined! Loved the phonetic "Go Ian" vibes during IMWI!
Citizen? Maybe a bit too Soviet Union or Starhip Troopers. Maybe.
Not sure I like Endurance Nancy.
@ ;Brenda - you callin' Coach P Nancy??? Ouch!
I know what the problem is. Me, I always can understand the "GO ...E...N!" just fine. I think coach is going so fast, he gets some sort of Doppler effect going, or else his auditory center is O2 depleted, and he's not hearing correctly.
Maybe we need a wiki entry about correct pronunciation, emphasizing that each letter gets equal emphasis rather than a strong E followed by a weaker N.
@ Al - you crack me up.
@ Coach P - as a life-long brand marketer, don't walk away from your brand equity. In fact, make "Ian" your "Ronald".
Just say the WHOLE thing always.
I would strongly suggest we all use the full "Endurance Nation".
Hearing "Endurance Nation" during a race means a lot more to me and the non-EN world then "EN".
Let us hear and shout out the full "Endurance Nation".
Better Nancy than when Coach Rich calls him Patty or Patricia.
