Holy App, This is Cool
http://www.ubersense.com for iphone / ipad. I was telling my ART guy about using my flip camera to record and review my 'helmet turtling' practice on the indoor trainer, and he turned me on to this app.
I predict:
1. a slow afternoon at work, and
2. a spike in bandwith costs for R & P.

Could this be helpful for swim stroke analysis? Then again, I'm not worried about that for the next 14 weeks minus 1 day
Off the top of my head, I could see using it for swim stroke, run form, bike position and fit, and core form. I did some solo slo-mo video analysis of treadmill running last year that was very revealing, but it was a major pain to record on the flip cam, save to my laptop, convert the file to whatever stock movie maker comes with windows, and then slow it down for viewing. As I mention, I've more recently been filming every indoor bike session to get aero position feedback, but the post-ride review has been getting shorter and shorter due to my impatience with the cumbersome process described above.
What I really like about this one is it's all in one box, and further, that it permits markups, drawing and angle calculation (I think).
Looks really cool! Thanks for the info.
Sweet. I'm on my way to the pain cave as we speak!
oh boy... When I get past IMAZ in a couple weeks the pain cave is going to be my new testing ground. This thing is going to be fun!
Lots to read!
OK, just played with it today. I'm not very good yet, but I'm sure I can figure it out. So I had myself video taped swimming in the pool this morning and this afternoon I did the same on the Vasa trainer. For the Vasa trainer I went through YouTube to find an expert to compare myself to and then made a side by side comparison. For some reason most of the drawing tools didn't appear on screen when I recorded it. Also need to working on my coaching script
For those interested, here it is http://ubersense.com/video/view/YtslVIEU/me-freestyle. Doesn't appear to be any sharing security so I assume the video is public with the link. If you can't open it, let me know.
I'd love to get an "expert" runner and and "expert" bike set up to compare myself to. Anyone have any good video?
Edit: practicing with the App. My video is a little better now!
For biking, all the angles are here: http://blog.ubersense.com/category/cycling/
I'll see if I can create a bike video this weekend
