100k November Run Challenge!
It is time to R U N! This is a solo challenge to keep all of us fit and active up to and beyond Thanksgiving. Keeping us all moving as the time changes, the days get shorter and winter settles in.
This is very straightforward:
- Attempt to run 100k (62 miles) in total in November
- Goal is to RUN 100k
- You get additional bonus points for 32 degree or below runs and also miles at Threshold Pace (TP)
- You can do 2 miles everyday. 2 x 31 miles. Or combination in between. Again, the goal is to get to 100k in November!
Point Scoring:
- 1 point per mile run.
- 1 additional point for a run in sub-32 degrees weather.
- 1 additional point for each mile run at (or above) Threshold Pace (TP), or 10k pace.
- Note: This runs on the honor system, please only post your actual run results.
- Fitness is it's own reward...really!
- We'll have to brainstorm out the rewards based on who enters (age, gender, etc., are options!).
Points Example:
If I run 3 miles at easy pace I get 3 points. If I run 3 miles with 2 of those miles at TP I get 5 points. If I run 3 miles with 2 miles at TP AND is is 32 degrees outside I get 6 points.
Instructions:
- Join the 2012 TeamEN 100k November Run Challenge.
- Enter your name in the Spreadsheet (be careful not to fudge anyone else's info!).
- Calculate your daily total by putting you miles in the orange column and your bonus points in the yellow column (and increase the yellow column number when you get more points)
- Log daily workouts in spreadsheet tool. Talk smack + post pics in the Group.
- Earn points and get fit!
FAQs:
Do I need a Google account?
You shouldn't need one, but you _do_ need to be careful when entering your data that you only touch your space in the spreadsheet and not anyone else's!

Are there formulas embedded in the spreadsheet? i'm having to enter my miles both in the daily column and in the total column. Is this how it is working for other or should i be able to enter my daily numbers and have that reflected in my total automatically?
@Steve - Thanks, man!
