Minutes/km

Any chance paces could be provided in min/km as well as minutes/mile?

  • Hi Satish, Canadian here. We have asked for this before and it did not happen, so do not hold your breath. We race alot in the states so we just switched to min/mile.
  • Yeah, metric system is just tough for us.... I still do a 3.1 mile and 6.2 mile test. 5k and 10k are too hard. They sound longer... image
  • Hey Folks,

I know it might appear that a change like that would be very simple to make and have it displayed, it's actually not. It's quite complicated and tackling that would bump down several other projects that we feel are more important. Thanks for understanding
  • Thanks Rich. Not a problem, I'm used to doing the conversion now anyway ( there's an app for that, not surprisingly ) .

On the contrary 1k repeats are so much more palatable than 1mile repeats!

  • As a Belgian in the US, for a long time I would ride my bike with two bike computers, one metric and one imperial. The metric for me to understand, the imperial in case one of my club friends would ask how far we had gone or how fast we were riding etc and metric made no sense to them. Now I'm 100% imperial!

(Volumes of liquids however are still very confusing, though I've learned when it comes to ordering a beer, to just pick the biggest one).
  • Satisfy, which app do you use? I've been using an online converter but an app would be much easier.

    Thanks
  • On my mac I use  "convert anything" from the app store.  Haven't found anything quite as useful for my ios devices yet.

  •  Ack!  I just realized its not 'convert anything', its 'convertor plus' and there is an iphone/ipad version which is also fantatstic!

  • I may need it soon. I am trying to hit hit 100k this month after being sick 1.5 weeks and not running. Yesterday I realized that I need a lot more k's to get to 100. image

You only have 3 days!  Be cautious; you don't want to overdo it and have 0k for December!

  • 12.7 miles yesterday means only 2k to go. I think I will coast the rest of the way... image
