Powertap - Is 121 grams worth $400?
So with a new bike comes a new powermeter. Since I'm going 2013 9000 series Di2 11 speed with 52/36 compact I no longer have an option for my beloved Quarq. So I'm switching to Powertap. They have a free hub body that is compatible with the new system (for an additional $99-$299). I'm so happy someone has considered the implications of this new drivetrain. But I digress.
So I'm looking at the new PT G3 vs. Pro. According to the website, the only difference between the two is 121 grams and $400. Powertap users.....am I missing something?
Suggestions please.

Not to me. The weight is at the center of the wheel, so the impact of centrifugal force is minimal at best. I don't think there is any difference in the software or sensors. Remember Marketing 101 ... premium version of similar prodicts are basically marketed to find out who has some price eleasticity - who's willing to pay the extra $. People like you and I are the prime target of that thinking - we can afford it, so we tend to not think about whether it's worth it. Sometimes I win that battle, sometimes I lose. This one, I went for the cheaper version.
4 ounces, Terry - you can lose that somewhere else?
Pee before you get on the bike. Half a cup. You can do it. :-)
So what's the deal with ceramic bearings?
Ceramic bearings are harder than steel bearings.Ceramic balls and races are also stiffer than steel ones less flexing , they are sturdy last longer and don't seize up like steel, less maintenance and friction too. AND they cost more
