Long, warm running pants...
As an addendum to the headlamp thread, what kind of pants to people wear in the cooler temps? I have the CW-X long pants, but the x-pattern seems to irritate my knees. So I'm looking for something a bit looser, but also warmer. I'm a walking goosebump, so winter is a bit rough on me... thanks!

I like my Asics Myles, but clothing preference is so individual - do you have a running store near you?
@ Russell: yes - right next to my bike shop, a very dangerous combination!

take your pick !
I like the Sugoi Midzero and Subzero tights. As their name implies, the subzero is good well under 32 deg F...
They are by far the best tights I have found (CW-X, Pearl Izumi, etc.) and the Subzero work well on the bike in cold weather over your bibs/shorts. They have a fleece lining - fairly thin on the midzero and reasonably thick on the Subzero.
+1 on Sugoi midzero and subzero.
Mountain equipment co-op (MEC.CA, Canadian version of REI) also has a great selection of reasonably priced cold weather running gear, and almost everything I have bought there lasts pretty much forever.
I also own a pair of North Face tight that is about double the thickness of usual running tights but I need to wear a wind pant overtop.
