YurBud Headphones - Feedback and Interest Needed

Hi Folks:

Talking with YurBuds (http://www.yurbuds.com/) about an EN partnership for their headphones.  The way we would do things isn't as straight forward as a discount code.  So wanted to see if anyone has used these and what you think of them?  Which model?

Also, is there any interest from the team for these?

FYI - They are the #1 selling headphone at Best Buy and recently became the best selling headphones in the U.S.

Lemme know.  Your feedback will guide me on how best to proceed.

John

  • I bought a pair for my gym dreadmill runs, but honestly since I bought them I haven't even ran at the gym! I'll try them out soon with my regular music listening at the office.
  • I've been using Yurbuds for a year or so. The Ironman model I think. I *love* them.

I run a LOT on the treadmill with headphones so I've tried many different "sport" headphones. All of them either fall out of my ear or hurt after a while or mute out due to sweat. Yurbuds feel great, never fall out, and the sound is always consistent, no matter how much I sweat.

I'm ready for another pair so I'm all for an EN partnership!

  • I've had them for 2 years or so now, on my 2nd pair. Kind of funny, I had never heard of them at all when I first got them, now they seem to have completely exploded.

My first pair really looked like standard iPod headphones but with the little extra earpiece that helps keep them in place. My second pair are still pretty similar but they reinforced the cable and coated it in some sort of nylon cloth.

All and all, the audio quality is mediocre at best compared to any quality in-ear headphones, but that is honestly not what I'm looking for at all in pair of sports headphones. I want headphones that are reliable, very sweat resistant and stay in place well without additional bulk such as ear clips or wrap-around designs.

To that extent, Yurbud's fit the bill very well, and while the price seems to have climbed steadily since I bought my first two pairs, it's still a pretty easy sell for a rather standard issue part of your average multisport athlete's arsenal.

p.s. if you thought that was a long commentary on a single pair of headphones, you don't even want to get me started about my quest to find a good set of fully waterproof earbuds for swimming.
  • If they have a Suitcase of Courage model, I'd be game!

Seriously, I would be interested if there were some kind of EN tie-in.
  • I had a pair of the ironman branded ones and used them outside for running. They did a good job staying in, but they ended up dying a slow death due to sweat.... Such is life when you have sweaty ears. I would be in again....

  • My wife has a pair and loves them.
  • Thanks for all the feedback so far.  Loving it.  Keep them coming!

Ya, sound is such a relative thing.  Everyone ears are different.

I have call with YurBuds next week.

    More later

  • I had a pair and loved them, then as it approached one year the three button control stopped working. I contacted Yur Buds, they had me send them my pair (the Ironman Inspire Pro model) and they sent me a new pair. Great customer service. The headphones stay in during my sweatiest runs. The sound is fine, though I run while listening to books on tape (MP3) so sound quality is not much of an issue.
