Holiday Gift Guide for Triathletes
Had a few requests from family members for holiday gift ideas, so figured I would start a list in case team members are faced with similar inquiries...
1. itunes/spotify gift card: itunes is self-explanatory, but just found out that Target stores carry Spotify gift cards. bonus for EN members on spotify (an "all you can eat" music app) is that they get to subscribe to the NovOS playlist started by Aaron Maurer (http://open.spotify.com/user/coffee...iju81vRgJk)
2. garmin quick release kit + bike mount: just installed this on my 910xt/bike as my bike computer and love it
3. arm/leg warmers for those chilly outdoor bike rides
4. flashing lights / headlamps for running outdoors; I've had good success with the amphipod LED flashing lights
I'm sure there's many more sweet gear ideas out there, so let's hear them!

A swim watch - there are several out there but I love how easy it makes couting laps for easily distracted people like me. I have the swimovate pool mate and its been solid for 2+years.
Swiftwick socks... best socks in the world.

For those starting the OS in January who don't have power, but want to get into trainerroad:
- ANT+ USB stick
- Speed/cadence sensor
On my personal list for this year:
- aero disc cover from wheelbuilder (I basically went through the creation screen, took a screen shot, sent it to the wife and said 'make it look like that when you order')
- bike stand
- bicycle chain cleaner
Also, consumables (gels, electrolyte capsules, etc) are always a good idea. They get expensive buying them on your own, but they make for good stocking stuffers.
@Ryan - you may want to get these instead for your disk.
Love the thread idea as well!
I've been good this year, so I'm hoping for a few presents under my tree. My #1 is a Rudy Wingspan aero helmet. Other items are an A2 Speedfil and K-edge garmin 500 bike mount.
@Steve - Love the stickers. Thanks for sharing the link.
So like many of you, I have had people ask what I want for Christmas and was trying to maximize my dollars towards gear I want/need. I have been debating between a few items and wanted to get some feedback from the haus. Basically I have about 200 to 250 to play with. I seem to be debating between a power wheel set up (figuring with all the fixin's around 1-1.5k) or an aero helmet and a few other smaller items. I really want the power meter I think, but feel pretty bad basically asking people to give me cash. I also need a wetsuit, though I have been leaning towards renting one for the big day (IMWI). I would love any and all feedback from the crew. Thanks!
Low Price: Little equipment items that you will always need are tubes, tires, chains, etc. Basically anything that is a "consumable" is always welcome.
Medium Price: aerojacket wheel cover from wheelbuilder.com, Joule 2.0 from eBay
High Price: garmin 310 or 910, Powertap built wheel from wheelbuilder.com, Quark powermeter (via Rich)
