Kurt Kenetic Road Machine and Power

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question. I have a Kurt Kenetic Road Machine and I was wondering what steps I need to take to ensure I get the most accurate power readings, using a wheel based powermeter. Now I tighten the wheel until it touches the tires and then 2 half turns from there, but the resistance just does feel right. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Nigel

  • The DVD that came with mine says 4 half turns. So that is what I use. It seems right. Good luck.
  • I have the same trainer and I use 4 half turns as well and some mornings it feels tighter than others but it is probably just me.
One test I use is turn the tire real fast to see if it slips on the trainer if it does not slip then you should be fine on tightness.
I notice sometimes when I really dig into a set it slips then I do another 1/2 turn to secure it.
