No, no...thank us later...

Team,

Been doing some writing.

"Uh, ok I can see where this works in your training plan as the rides at 4.5 hours are on the short side. My coach has me do larger bike volume with multiple 100+ mile rides"

4.5hrs on the short side...all you FNG's, do an EN-style 4.5hr long ride and tell us you need to do more work or ride longer.

  •  Okay, I'll bite: what's an FNG?

  • I do believe it's fun loving new guy, but not really fun loving, more like that dirty f word.

  •  Dave, you made me laugh: got it. Thanks.

  • It would seem to me that the recovery needed from doing an EN style 4.5 hr ride on Sat and then a EN style paced run w/o on Sunday would f up the rest of the week/plan. Comparing the LSD to EN stuff is apples to oranges. Some guys' just are not going to GET IT...it's their loss....too bad 'cause they would most likely see some real gains in performance. A few people on that thread appear to have a clue though.
  • Rich,

When did you start spreading the love on BT?  I thought you only enjoyed the cerebral sparring on ST.

  • I'm an FNG, I tried the 4.5 hour EN ride when Steve Cramer pointed a link out last September.....I didn't feel the need to go 6 hrs anymore.

PnI have created some Google Alerts that sends links where certain keywords have been used, Endurance Nation being one of them. We're using it as a tool to keep our fingers on the pulse of any EN conversations out there. It also gets us writing more, which you'll see in the blog.

That's good to know.  I think I'll create some accounts around the tri online community and start stirring a bunch of EN talk.    You'll never know if it's me or not.
