What Blogs are you reading....

Either I am getting more busy or the general cadence of American life has shortened my attention span.  I used to be a pretty avid reader of novels for many years, both fiction and non-fiction.  Recently, I have found I don't have the time or attention for long form and moved reading a lot more magazines.  Now, I am even getting lazier and seem to be reading more blogs on iPad/iPhone.  It's just so digestable.

So, here is what I am reading fairly regularly.

If you like cycling and satire, try these:

  • In the lifestyle category:

I find http://www.lifehacker.com to be pretty interesting.

http://www.badassoftheweek.com is a pretty good and entertaining read.

http://theoatmeal.com can be really funny - kind of hit or miss.

    None are really blogs, though.

  • LOVE The Mediocre Athlete: http://www.mediocreathlete.com/
    That chick is a riot!
  • There's so many I get emails from, I'll have to compile over the next few days and categorize them.

There's also so many more I'd like to subscribe to, but they don't email - they are only available via RSS feed. Someone PLEASE explain how to set those up!!!
  • There's information outside the Haus available on the internet???

You're not missing much - just a bunch of cat pictures and videos

  • @scott - set up the feeds on google reader and then get an app for google reader. I do all my blog reading that way.
  • I use FlipBoard on my iPad to aggregate a bunch of reading materials. Lots of technology stuff and a few other magazines. TechCrunch, Ted Talks, The Economist, Forbes, StumbleUpon, FlipTech

I like the Science of Sport http://www.sportsscientists.com/

For medical stuff I like Science Based Medicine http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/

A lot of these guys have FB pages, and if you "Like" them, you'll get the lastest blog. Better than RSS feeders image
