Good Juicer Recipes/Book?

Hey Gang,

My staff at work gave me a juicer for Christmas and I want to make sure I put it to good use.  I've never used one before and want to start off on the right foot.  Any "go to" recipes or books you would recommend?  Thanks in advance!

  • I like smoothies better than Juicing and can't really recommend a book for you but there are tons online. Try just carrots it doesnt sound particularly good but it is. About 6 large carrots will give you a glass of awesome! Just go crazy with it. Read my 3 day smoothie post in Nutrition and see what I threw in a blender. Loved it all. Have fun.
  • Dusty, this guys was in the Hungry For Change video and his site is great. Here is the link: http://www.juicemaster.com/free-downloads

    and here is another http://rawfoodenergybenefits.com/category/juices-smoothies/

  • my favorite:

    5 carrots

knob ginger root (about size of a quarter)

    1/2 lemon,rind and all

    3 apples

balled up of parsley,  about the size of a baseball (press into a ball to get trough feeder)

I have many others and will send you a book title soon. I have been juicing for years.

If you can still  buy cranberries, juice them alone and put them into ice cube trays.  use the cubes in drinks. one cube could make about 1/2 to 1 gallon of store bought cranberry juice drink so these cubes are strong.

  •  I was hoping there would be a message thread about this. I got a vitamix for Christmas and am on the search for great recipes. Keep them coming! Going to check out other post about smoothies now-
