Nov OS Week 8 VDOT Testing and Run Thread

  •  got the run in this am before family duties.  Started outside and realized it was way too slippery (froze overnight), so I headed back in an ran on the treadmill. 46 minutes total.  Happy Holidays!

  • Just getting around to posting my test results now. Better late than never.

    No dramatic numbers here. Just good, steady gains resulting from punching the clock day after day.

    Old FTP = 103 (TrainerRoad VirtualPower)

    New FTP = 112 (TrainerRoad VirtualPower)

    FTP up 8%

    Old VO2 power = 134

    New VO2 power = 144

    VO2 power up 7%

    ---

    Run test done on indoor treadmill at gym set at 2% incline.

    Old vDot = 43 (22:40)

    New vDot = 44 (22:12)

    5K 28 seconds faster

     

    All 3 tests were executed MUCH better than before.

    Very happy with my results considering I did not start the OutSeason until week 3 due to injury.
