Raising Money for Team Fight

Getting a jump start on my annual fundraising for Team Fight, in case anyone wants to contribute.

Each year, more and more of my friends and family are affected by cancer.... I say this every year, because it doesn't ever seem to stop.  This year, my Aunt Diana passed away from a very aggressive brain cancer.  It was devastatingly fast.  I was able to see her before she passed and the experience has again fueled my desire to raise money.  This year I am again raising money as part of my participation in the Rev3 Olympic distance triathlon. (.9mi swim, 25mi bike, 6 mi run).  I hope someday I won't need to raise money for cancer (because they will have found a cure!) but until then, I'll keep "tri-ing"!

  • @Kim- I started a thread in the club house (perhaps the wrong location) regarding raising money through training/racing. I am curious as to whether you contemplated raising money on your own and found joining a group was easier or you just found an organization that suited you. I have a particular cause in mind, so I will probably go out on my own, just curious.

Also, any thoughts on how you came up with your goal amount. Which (if any) factors did you consider?

Thanks! My contribution will be coming soon!
  • Claire- I hooked up with fundraising/racing through Rev3 and the cause to resonated with me. The goal amount was pre-set by Team Fight but I over-achieved last year and hope to do so again this year!
