NEW FTP TEST

Note if you are training with Power then do the power test which includes both the VO Max test and the FTP test.  

If you are training with heart rate then do the heart rate test.

NO NOT DO BOTH means dont do both the POWER and HEART RATE tests do one or the other.  

If you are training with power can you still wear and track your heart rate????  YES.

  • Is the data tool set up to plug in our data and then it puts our numbers into our plan or is the math on us ?
  • You have to do the 95% thing.
  • Ok, Thx so then do you put that into the data tool or break it down on our own to get the Z1 -Z5 zones we will use ?
  • The new data tool will calculates your ranges, however I'm seeing my Z5 as 120% of FTP rather than my VO2 which is higher.
  • ... Zone 5 or VO2 workouts are in the 106-120% of your FTP not your tested VO2.
  •  Pretty pumped with testing improvement from 6 weeks ago.  I had a LTHR of 157 with avg of 19.5 for 40 mins ride.  I bumped it up to 160 and 21avg.  I am going to look into this trainer road program, so I can start using the power to train.

  • AM test VO2 @ 236 FTP 204 LTHR 161 , exactly how I left it in Aug and stopped biking. My old LTHR was 149 however anyone have a best guess on that ?
