Crank intercompatibility

I have a Felt Z15 road bike with DuraAce components, FSA K-Force Light crank with MegaExo BB

I have a Specialized Transition Pro tri bike, SRAM Red/Force components, SPecialized/FSA Krono crank OSBB (basically, BB30).

I plan to upgrade the SRAM components  on the SPecialized to 2012 Red to improve shifting. The old Red front derailleur just doesn't work that great IMHO. Word is the new "Yaw Technology" makes a big improvement.

I am considering an SRM powermeter on an FSA KFL crank just like i have on the Felt now, and also using it on my Transition (with a MegaExo-BB30 adapter).

I do most of my training on the road bike, because there is a lot of traffic and terrain in these parts. Good road handling is a priority. I'd rather not buy 2 powermeters. The tri bike is used for, obviously, tris, and race prep.

Question 1) - do you think the FSA crank/chainrings will play nicely with SRAM 2012 Red derailleur. SRAM makes a big deal about the 2012 stuff only working with other 2012 components.

Question 2) - does swapping a crankset back and forth cause too much wear on the BB and other components (bolts, for example)?

Question 3) - Is an adapter a good (i.e. reliable) solution? It seems, to me, to introduce a significant point of failure into the drive system, but I'm no bike expert.

Quarq doesn't seem to make a MegaExo system anymore or I'd pursue that route. From what I can divine, you can adapt MegaExo (24mm) to BB30 (30mm), but I don't think you can adapt a BB30 crank to fit a MegaExo BB. I may be wrong on that.
