Syracuse 70.3 vs. Timberman 70.3
I was originally hoping to do Eagleman this year for my first HIM, turns out I won't be able to due to a conflict with a wedding that weekend (not mine )
So I am now trying to decide between Syracuse 70.3 and Timberman.
Syracuse would fit better with my original plan to do Eagleman as it is only a couple weeks later, but I haven't been able to find very much info on the race as it is only a few years old. What I have been able to find is that it is a very hilly bike and a hilly run.
Timberman is attractive because my family is from New England and I have an uncle with a house on the lake. However, it is in mid-august which is further out from my original eagleman plan and can prove to be hot an humid. It seems that is hilly put possibly less hilly than Syracuse.
I am only in my OutSeason so adjusting my training plan would not be that big of a deal. If Timberman were late June it would be a defnitive win.
Any ENers out there that have done one or both races and care to offer reviews?
Thanks,
Ed

I have done Syracuse two of the three years it has been in existence (2010 and 2012).
Here is my 2012 race report for reference. Pay attention to one of my follow-up posts with the run course profile. The 2012 run course was brutal. That's still the course listed on the website.

I also have Syracuse on my list and just might do Black Bear as well.
