John, thanks for the two articles. I have to say, I wish someone would recommend something besides sweet potatoes, bananas, and dates for gluten free athletes. After three years of no wheat, I've had about enough of them. I gave all three of those foods a rest this winter after IMFL, but now that I'm picking the volume back up I need some more carbohydrate. I brought home 3 sweet potatoes, and ate one yesterday. I can guarantee the other 2 will go bad before I eat them. I do not want another sweet potato, and I'm stomping my foot like my kids did when they were two. I don't wish to eat dates, and the bananas on my counter are starting to turn brown. It's gotten to the point where I'm pretty sure my husband is going to start pranking me, and I fully expect to have a sweet potato left in my gym bag. He's funny that way. I'll get out of this diet rut, I have no doubt. In the meantime, there will be more sweet potatoes, dates, and bananas available for the rest of you.
Thanks Kim, I do like Larabars, despite the dates. Probably because they have chocolate in them Chocolate makes a lot of things better, but not sweet potatoes.
