Saturday run

 Hi coach, Should I be doing the 20min brick after my 60 min bike,  or do long run at end of day after biking in the morning?  My run is my weaker event. Thanks,  Linda

  • If you do the separate bike and run, the usual advice is to do the run first if you can. Run affects the bike less than the other way around. Better quality run workout and essentially same quality bike.
  • Hi Linda - if you want an answer from coach P then post to the micro thread... but... this was discussed considerably in NOS. In the OS ideal is to bike in the morning, do the good nutrition and hydration thing starting right away, and run in the afternoon after you've recovered a bit - no brick involved. Many people do the workouts as a brick because it's a more efficient way to get the work in. Some of those people - typically those looking for gains on the run, reverse brick: they do a full run first, and then hop right on the bike.
