IMLP Volunteering

I'm planning to volunteer at IMLP to get in for 2014. It would be great to coordinate and have a EN aid station, or some other coordinated plan, if one doesn't exist yet.

Anyone interested in planning to volunteer together? Any suggestions on where to volunteer for the race?

    Steve, me, and Natalie and Brent Pilon are volunteering. We have not organized anything other than the fact that we will be volunteering at the athlete check in on Friday. We fully plan on wearing our EN race kit during the race so that our team mates can pick us out on the side lines. Maybe we can go to the athletes dinner and organize something for the volunteers.

    Job Position.......: female transition FEMALES ONLY
    Time...............: 06:30 AM - 11:30 AM
    Location...........: transition

    Job Position.......: Security
    Time...............: 01:00 PM - 05:30 PM
    Location...........: bike in/bike out gate

    Job Position.......: Finish Chute
    Time...............: 06:00 PM - 11:45 PM

    Im bringing my bike up to ride the day or two before if anyone wants to meet up. Im going with a few friends, but it would be great if we could get together at some point and meet.

    Thanks to you and everyone else for volunteering at the race. An EN dominated volunteer/aid station would be great. As an aside we had an EN tent last year where we met up in the morning, hopefully this will happen again. Beyond that with LP being a focus event the dinner will be huge this year plan on making that if you can. I'm not even in the IM plan yet and getting pumped up.

    This also reminded me that I need to start the discussion with my wife on IM 2014.

    I volunteered there in 2009 at Bike Special Needs. It's a terrific assignment, as you get to watch the start, then go get a coffee, and then work until about 1:30, at which time you can turn into a full-fledged spectator. Like Gordon said, huge thanks to folks who are volunteering, I'll be looking for you out there!
