Would be super-awesome if someone where to volunteer to be a Race Captain, to organize / drive forward the IMSG discussions and maybe some team-ey stuff race weekend?

I am down for camping and likely rent an RV. My Tri Club will likely have a few there as well

  • Haha! I never seen a race captain in action, so I am unclear of the expectations, but I will be there and happy to help in any way I can. I may even drag up the NEW PTC trailer as a rolling bike shop.....

  • Dino,

Are you expecting a large PTC presence again this year? I'm planning on purchasing a camping pass and mulling what my strategy will be. Doesn't look like there will be a large enough EN presence to really stake out our own area, so my backup plan will be to shack up with the TCSD folks.

Wanted to see what the other EN members were doing though before I go all in with them.
  • Sadly, there will not be a big PTC group this year. Maybe 5-6, 10 at the most. This year, everyone leaned in big with Vineman. There are almost 50 of us doing Vineman. I would have done Vineman, but IMCDA is dominating my calendar at mid-year.

I gotta get on the stick and figure this out as well.....
  • FYI - I just rented a motorhome for Wildflower. I going up early on Friday with the plan to be there by lunch and then rolling early on Sunday before the Oly start. I will have my wife and kids (2 and 5 years old). I am down for hanging out!
  • Remember when you adopted me Dino? That comes with motor-home privileges.

I'm driving up on Friday morning-ish, want to get there by mid-day so I can relax some and be comfy before the race on Saturday. Will be spending the night on Saturday and leaving Sunday morning before the olympic (hopefully). I'll be tenting it and am planning on staying at the Tri Club San Diego tent-site, anyone else I'm sure is welcome to merge in, or if there is a big enough EN group we could try and stake out a little space of our own.

Either way, will try to meet up with whoever is there. We're doing a big bbq after the race on Saturday over at the TCSD area.
  • Sounds good, dude! I hope to see you. You are always welcome to have motorhome access....

I will try get out where I am or look up the San Diego group.

This is my third time at Wildflower. I'd be psyched at anything 6:30 or below (last two times I finished at about 6:20), especially since it looks like it's going to be a hot one!
  • I'm going to try and get this going again. Not sure if this is the right place to start, but WTH.
