QT2 Race Fuel Plan & Consult

Has anyone out there used this?  I'm interested in getting my nutrition plan nailed down early this year so I can train with it for as long as possible and I'm considering giving this service a shot.

  • I did Kevin and the outcome was a 70.3 PB!!! I continue to follow their guidance.
  • By the way, the more you train with it ahead, the better .... teach your body how to absorb all those QT2 recommended calories on the go!!!!
  • X2 what Juan said. I used it last yet to PR in both 70.3 and 140.6 distances. Worth every penny. I found it let me train harder on long days.
  • Kevin,

I've just started using the Core Diet for getting down to race weight by July.  I've had exceptional results on weigh loss and had decent energy for my workout.  Let me clarify the decent comment.  I had to make some major changes to my diet so it took a bit for my body to adjust and I did struggle on the weekend 2h ride but got it in.  A week and a half in to the plan I did a 2X20 (4') at .97 & .98.

I have yet to get the race fule plan as that will come later.  If you have not make sure you take a look at the 1 hour presentation that Jessie did specifically for EN.  I'll try to dig up the link.

    Edit: Here's the link

  • Did the consult last year and have followed their plans (olympic, 70.3 and IM) for everything sense. I adopted them about 90%. Good stuff. Definitely watch the video that Gordon linked.
  • Thanks to you all for the feedback! No better time than the present to get underway. I'm glad to hear you've all had such good experiences.
  • @gordon -which plan did you do? I purchased the race fueling plan and I agree with everyone that its awesome. Did you pay for a full on nutrition plan (meal plan and all)?
  • I just signed up for the mission plan and will do the race plan in a few months depending on how i like their services. Looking forward to this!
  • I'm having a consult next week, then will decide what to do after that. I want (need) to drop 10lbs before IMMT in August.

    $230/month...steep!!
  • Branan,

Sorry I did not get back to this thread earlier.  Yes I went for the full on nutrition plan.  You get 1 week of meals for each 4 week block.

I'm currently finishing up week 3 and it's working well.  Energy levels even while losing significant weight (more that the 1-2 lbs/weeks).  I'm down 10 lbs over not quite 3 weeks.  Note that I have a lot of extra weight, currently at 222 and should be around 170-180.  If I was really lean for IM racing I could see 155-160 as a target weight based on where I was 15 years ago.
