  • It always amazes, when I undress after a run, how much CRAP I insist on running with - whatever happened to just slapping on some shoes and going out the door?

  • This is on like donkey kong. The Ross's are so excited about this.

Al - that is alot of shit.
  • my new nike "flash" running vest

  • Mike, That looks cool!
  • Paul, I saw your shoes in an email but not here? They looked great!

  • I don't know how to add a picture. So this is a test. And I can't find the one I wanted to share about the only hill I have access to here in Key Biscayne where I live. BUT, you are triathletes and so you might appreciate this questionable parenting decision I made while on a 15 mile bike ride with my two sons aged 5 and 7. This is my 5 year old who though doesn't look like it, is pedaling hard!

  • Al, is that a Speedfil bottle you're taking on your runs?

  • JW Saturday morning - post-FTP test and brick run...

  • I give up on trying to post photos. I just get a link copied into text, but doesn't pull up?
  • Hey Fred - took me a few tries, too! I think you're clicking on Image in the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread... You have to use the "Add Reply" box to pull up all of the available functions... Then click:

Insert Media (Top Row - looks like a paper clip)
    Image Manager
    My Folder (left hand side)
    Upload
    Insert (right side, bottom)

Make sure your image is resized to 1000KB or less, and you're good to go! Not sure if I'm doing this the hard way or not, but it was the only way I was able to get it to work (I am on a Mac, if that's helpful at all... ).

Al, is that a Speedfil bottle you're taking on your runs?

It's a prop. I was too lazy to go downstairs to get the actual bottle:

BTW, to add pictures, here's the protocol I used:

    • In the Reply to Topic window, below the Submit/Cancel/Preview buttons, click on "Attachments" arrow
    • Click "Choose File"
    • Select photo from its location on my computer hard drive
    • Click cursor where I want the photo to go
    • Click "Insert Image"
  • D'oh. Did I REALLY just find the most impossibly difficult way to post my picture or what? Wow. I need to go get some more sleep.... Thanks for clearing that one up, Al! And that Gatorade bottle is Old Skool - love it!

  • Darn Apple I guess, won't work from iPhone or iPad.
  • I had the same problem...just kept getting a link. I quickly tire of tech stuff if it isn't user friendly. Maybe something for EN 6.0.
  • Great 10 mile run birthday run with my amazing run partner Sam who never complains but does push, or pull, me to be my fastest self!
  • My new running partner is so inspiring!  She just LOVES to run.  So much, that before we started running this winter she was doing 2 mile runs once a week on her treadmill.  She lives just a few blocks away from me, so I swing by on my cool down, or my easy brick runs, and run with her for a few miles.  We're up to 2.5 miles!  Today was the first day that I also added in a few .25 mile intervals to push her slightly.

Last summer she did her first triathlon, and she said she wants to do an Ironman like me when she's older.  I told her she's gonna be faster than me, but she doesn't believe me.  She's already a rockstar at 9!

  • Oh my gosh!!! She's ADORABLE!!! That is SO awesome... so cool of you to run with and be an inspiration to her!!!
  • oh my gosh, adorable. She could be a future Rinny.

  • Post run cool down.

P.S.  My wife thinks I'm either nuts or stupid for wanting to take this picture.  I told her EN people would appreciate it.  She didn't get it.

  • @ Daniela - that girl's got some style ... gloves, headband, pink piping on the jacket.

@ Jason - My favorite part of the run is taking (nearly) everything off while still outside on the porch, whatever the weather. Never tried to do a snow angel after a run, though...

  • @Jess-I get just as much out of it as she does! Like today when I didn't feel like running... btw, super jealous of the Normatec boots!

@Brenda-She's gonna be one of those people that are so perfect that you want to hate them, but you can't because they are so nice.

@Al-Her mom dressed her. It's a bit different when her dad gets her ready image

@Jason-Nice! Somes days it has been tempting, but I quickly talk myself out of it.
  • @ Daniela Getting the courage up to lay down was the hardest part. Once I did it actually felt awesome.
  • so I tried to post from my phone.... it didn't work. it was a great pic of my sweet dog Sam....

  • Running with my shuffle and air buds at my favorite training loop right outside my community.

  • Whoa! That's large!!! Works from my computer at least.
