2 a day bike workouts
I have a HIM 6/1, and Ironman Canada in August this year. I'm going to need to break up some of the longer rides as spring and summer progresses. Not every week, so I'm really not worried that this is going to have a negative impact on my races. But finding a block of four hours or more to ride is going to be a challenge several weeks. It's really hard to say at this point exactly how many weeks I'll need to modify.. I'm willing to get up early and knock out the FTP sets on my rollers, and can ride up to 90 minutes in the morning before the sun rises. I'll have another 2ish hour block in the late afternoon or evening to work with. Any thoughts on how I should structure the second bike workout? I see an opportunity to try something different, and maybe ride harder for that block of time than I would be able to if I were doing a continuous 4+ hour effort.
