SC Forums

Just a question for all of those racing short course this Spring/Summer, I am not seeing any place where we can post some of our workouts or SC related stuff. Would it be too much to ask to have a forum for that, or you all gauge that interest would be low, therefore not feasible. I also apologize if this is a wrong spot for a question like this. I also have SC workouts related questions, can somebody point me where would that be appropriate. Thanks.

PS: Short Course, Tuesday, bike and run, are they brick, not brick or if brick, is there a modification for assigned run or not.

  • Maybe one of the coaches can start a Forum for us. If I remember correctly, the SC forums seemed to have less actively than some of the other ones (race specific, Summer HIM, OS, etc) but I'm in!

    I'm doing a hybrid week this week... Part last week of OS, part SC (INT)

    RE: Tues.... I assume a brick. I know for the OS, they gave guidance for time for brick vs. standalone run but I don't see that in the SC plan. I would guess if you didn't brick, you could add a little more time. Best place to ask is probably the Micro forum.

  • @Aleks - can't remember if you were on hiatus yet or not, but the coaches put out a series of blog posts about brick runs. Bottom Line - the saturday brick should be done Run, then Bike. Others are not as critical. If you need to brick due to logistics/time, then go ahead. However, if life allows, then splitting the workouts is preferred.
  • Thanks Joe. Been a while. Looked at OS and there are clear instructions how to amend. SC plans are a bit older and they do not include that. But all is good. We do not have in SC plans Saturdays with run first, at least I did not notice. Could be wrong. 

  • Actually for SC I would expect bricks to be bricks. Most of them at least.
