Calibraion with edge 500 / powertap pro+

Does anyone know how to do this calibration.  I navigate to the power screen on the edge 500, and select calibrate.  It says "calibrating", but never comes back and says complete.  It used to work, but not after the last firmware upgrade.  Thanks

    Finally heard back from Garmin. If you have HR monitor selected, but your HR monitor is active, the edge 500 won't calibrate. So you either need to calibrate with the HR monitor unselected or put on the HR monitor and stand by your bike while it calibrates. Tried both and they worked. Forgot to ask if it was a function of the edge 500 or the powertap.

    Bob.    Garmin issue.    Same deal with my Quarq.      I either have to have my HR strap on or deselect the HR monitor on the Garmin.        To get a calibration.                  Sorry I guess I knew the answer.

    This hasn't been a problem for me (so far)  with my new edge 500 and G3 powercap. calibration seems to work just fine, but takes a few seconds longer than the 910xt.
