Low HR?
Hello,
I did a 1 hour and 30 min. stint on the bike today, targets were Z2/Z3. After my first stage of warm up my HR is normally around 125-130, today it was only at 110, even though my watts were right where they normally are?
Then all throughout the workout, my HR was approx. 10-15 beats lower than normal? I felt good, it was just strange my HR was staying as low as it was? Maybe low battery in HRM? Just wondered if a lower heart rate like that during a workout is a sign of anything?
Thank you,
Jonas McCluskey

First is normally very easy to fix ... second one very hard and "painful"
If you continue to feel fine and all other signs point to "normal," then I'm with David on the increased fitness theory....
Keep an eye on how you feel. A big drop like that usually is an early sign of overtraining. I've correlated/confirmed this with my HRV score.
Thanks for all the input group, maybe splitting hairs here but I'm going to go w/ slightly fatigued. I wouldn't call it over training . Fortunately I'm a data nerd, so I was able to look back at the weeks data after my last 13.1 mile run test. Sure enough, my notes were that my legs felt flat on Tuesday. Probably a good sign I was still able to push the power yesterday (have not fallen to far into fatigue, but it must be starting if I don't let legs recover more from Sat. run). I think I'll take it a little easy in the water today, plus take a good look at my recover techniques after a 13.1 run like that, I thought my nutrition and sleep were good enough. I just hate to have to take 2 days off after a run like that.
