TTBIKEFIT.COM

So I'm about to drop the cash on a fit from Todd @ TTbikefit.com.  I have read everything on his website, and found a couple additional reviews online that were all positive, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with their services.  I would be doing a fit to the bike I already own, but just get nervous about spending $200 for an all online service.  Anyone with experience, please chime in, or let me know what you think.

  • My experience is somewhat dated, I used Todd back in 2010. Overall impression was just okay. Todd knew his stuff, but at the end of the day sending videos , waiting on comments, tweaking and then sending more videos left me with a ho-hum experience. I ultimately ended up purchasing a new bike and got it fit by a local shop.
  • I am a very, very satisfied customer. We started the fit with one bike, but then I got a new bike (long story...) and we switched over to it. I liked the iterative process as it didn't change everything all at once.

Yes, making the videos was a bit of an administrative hassle. I was impressed with his response time to my submissions.

Bottom Line -- If and when I need another bike fit, Todd will be my first stop.

PS - Don't forget the EN discount....
  • I like Todd for pure knowledge; as Brad mentioned you have a lot of lifting on your own does mean a lot of lifting...
  • I had Todd do an on line fit for me late last year. He is good and worth the expense. I have experience with two other fitters (Retul & Guru DFU certified) - in person. Dropped a lot of cash and wish I would have went to Todd first.

Bike set up is very personal. Todd can get you into that perfect aero position but if you are uncomfortable and not generating sufficient power because of that, you have to make adjustments to find the "sweet spot". Todd will work with you until you get there.

A good fit is worth every penny. I learned a lot during the process and now am pretty good at setting myself up/making changes.
  • What's the EN discount? It says on the discount page that they are reccomended, but no discount.
  • Just tell Todd you're with EN and ask him for a discount... I think when I used him a couple yrs ago it was ~$150.

I was VERY happy with Todd and TTBikefit. I like to tinker with my own bikes so it was no big deal making my own adjustments at his direction. Todd didn't make any major changes for me, but the minor things he tweaked for me were spot on. It's crazy how he can suggest such minor changes over video, but the dude is really good! I am a happy and satisfied customer.
  • I bought my new Blue, and my Quarq Elsa PM from Todd after getting fitted by him.  Love the bike, but more importantly, love the service and having a guy that knows Triathlon, biomechanics, and lot whole stuff I don't even understand (Phd's are like that...lol)  I can't say enough good things about TT Bikefit.....and no, we aren't related......
