quick laces

I have been using the old plastic spring loaded clips on my running sneakers for >15 years and was looking for suggestions for something else to try such as the elastic laces.  Anybody feel strongly aabout a product that they currently use?

  • I use Yankz and like them.  Super cheap too.
  • I have only used Greepers but really love them.  some initial setting up - you have to cut the laces and fit them to your running shoes but once positioned correctly they work well.  fun colors too!
  • Yankz. Easy to setup, inexpensive, and they come in many colors.
  • When I first started racing I bought a couple pairs of the bungee cord laces as I had seen them used in Kona as a kid and though it was a cheap option to speed up my transitions.  Well, come to find out I totally hated them because it made it feel like my running shoes were about to fall off because they didn't snug up enough to the way I normally tie my laces.  End result, now I just pre-tie my standard laces and slide the shoes on.  No need to tie them and they fit just right.

  • I've used probably 5 different brands of various elastic quick lace systems over time and they all do the job, it just comes down to personal preference for their chosen locking mechanism or other subtleties of their implementation.

For me, I prefer Locklaces over all the other brands. It's just a cleaner, more secure feeling locking system in my experience.

  • Like Darren I keep my shoes tied and slip them on and off. Only need to re-tie them every few weeks.....
  • Yanks! Or the ones that came with Hoka's....
  • x2 on Lock Laces.

The xtenex laces are nice but I can buy 4 pairs of Lock Laces for the same price.
  • OK, fine, but why should we change from the ones described in the OP, for us OFs who are stuck in our ways?
