HIM, week 14, shorter long run or long RR run?

Hi Coaches,

I've been behind the run training curve so to speak due to injury and I've not quite caught up to the volume requirements of the plan. So what would you recommend I do for week 14- the proscribed long run and then a shorter RR run (~3-4 miles, 30 min) or should I shorten the long run and aim for completing the full 6 mile RR run?

  • @Victor, run as long as you "can" safely given your situation. Not so worries about the RR run, it's more practicing the right pace (you can do that in 2-3 miles only)...be smart on that long run and feel free to add some pre-run bike/elliptical time to get aerobic work in without additional stress!!!
