Get Faster Intermediate - reshuffle for back-to-back weekend rides

Hi CoachP,

I am in week 5 of Get Faster Intermediate. For weeks 5 - 8 of the plan, would it be possible to reshuffle the workouts in order to have back-to-back rides on Saturday & Sunday?

 Reason being the warm(er) weather has finally arrived in Ottawa, so it is time for some extended outdoor rides.

Here's what I'm thinking:



Mon - strength/weights

Tues - shorter threshold run

Wed - threshold/VO2 bike, skill/hill run

Thurs - the long threshold run

Fri - strength/weights

Sat - the long threshold/V02 bike

Sun - threshold/V02 bike, skill/hill run

  • @Brent, as long as the Tues/Wed/Thurs "hard" sessions are 24 hours apart, it's fine. When you get inside the 24hour window, then you might have to drop friday for recovery...THANK GOD you guys are outside. Even Steve was getting grumpy!!! image
