February Catch Up Club: week 3

Hey all... how are you feeling?!

Last week seemed to be a good one - with at least one graduating from IR to full blown training!  Woo Hoo!!!

I'm happy to report that I finished my first week running on the OS... but I will admit I was humbled by my [slow] 5k time... so now I have a goal:  to show significant improvement at the next test!  I also did all 3 days of the bike challenge (doing my Ts intervals yesterday, so today is my rest day( and got in the pool again - doing a few more laps,,, with the static brace on - the one advantage of having an injured paw, I'm focusing on my form/body position.

  • Hey Becky! So great that you've been able to swim/bike/run (even if modified) with the injured hand. Sounds like things are really coming back for ya! I'm a bit toasted from the Pres Weekend Challenge, so I'm "pushing" this weeks workouts out by a day. I just wasn't ready to do 3x10's this morning so I'll do my Tues ride tomorrow and swam today instead.

    I'm happy to report that I ran outside for the brick yesterday and did the long run outside today!  Sidewalks were mostly clear, sun was shining... it did wonders for my mojo and mood!
