Got outside this morning. I know the trainer might be more targeted, but man it is nice to actually be moving! Doing them based on RPE as I wait for my powertap (shipped yesterday). It'll be interesting to see how that lines up with the numbers once I go back to power (was using virtual power with trainer road).
big 2 weeks build before taper, so I hammer hill repeats for my FTP sessions in prep for a massive climb at my race in France June 1. I use a hill out here on vancouver island known as the Observatory climb, I have only ever broke 8min once. Last night I did 5x gradually building my power starting at 100%FTP then try to increase avg each repeat. Started out at 8:54 with the 1st and finished with 8:13 on the last. Nice. Next week I try to break 8min.
