5/13 begin IM wk 10 have schedule challenge

Hi Coach P,

Monday I will begin week 10 of the beginner IM program.  My schedule at the Zoo is always changing.  My days off next week are Monday, 5/13 and Tuesday 5/14.  I have to work the evening of 5/15.  And I have to work Saturday, 5/18 but will have off the following Sunday and Monday.   Any advice on how to rearrange training for maximum benefit?  Thanks in advance.  Oh...and your camel says "hi".  Regards to your family...

  • Leslie, I would push the long bike/run from the end of week 10 to Sunday / Monday. Depending on this weekend, you can make small edits (but if Sat is crappy weather you can bump back to Sunday/Monday for example). The minor edits would be Monday Swim/Strides Run, Tuesday is Wednesday bike/run, Wed is Swim only...then Thurs = long run, Friday = Swim, Saturday is the interval run (short and sweet before work?)...then the long efforts on Sunday / Monday!
