Dual Training Day
Hello! Am new to EN and just starting the program. I see that some days there are two workouts planned. Is it advisable to do them at two separate times of the day....or try to stack them back to back?
Any benefit one way or the other?
Thanks.

Hi Dawn and Welcome!. Generally when a workout is meant to be done back to back i.e. as a 'brick' it will be clearly written in the program. Otherwise I have done multi workout days as morning/evening or separated by several hours, usually in the order they are written. I have had to reverse the workouts on occasion for logistical reasons and it seems that is ok as well, especially if you have a personal preference. Generally if it is a swim and something else day it has been advised to swim first then do the bike or run second (and I like this better as well), but some people here like it the other way around. Hope this helps!
How / what order you do the workouts in is a function of whatever your logistics are. That said, we always put the more important workout of the day as the first workout and generally recommend that you do that session in the morning because no one can take your morning away from you -- vs a PM workout which can be compromised by your boss, unmotivated you, etc.
