Official Ironman Texas Race Day Thread

The Team EN tracker and all other related links are on the Dashboard. This place is where you can keep the Team updated on what's going on, your observations, etc....it becomes a really cool record for the athletes to review afterwards too!!!  Thanks Team!

  • I blinked and Ironman season is officially here! Good luck to all the EN Warriors tackling Texas this weekend!!
  • Up early because I couldn't sleep last night. Kept having those crazy Ironman race dreams. Hopefully the folks racing slept a little better than I did!! Really excited to track our racers today. Have a wonderful race everyone!
  • Nemo is watching!!!
  • Damn John is swimming like a Dolphin ... out of water after 1h and a few secs!!!
  • Wow John can move in that water! Smooth T1 too.
  • Good to see everyone out of the water.  As for John yes he's fast but I believe he was going for 57-59 so a little slower that what he wanted but still close to his goal time.  Hey I just did 2300M in 1 hour so it's super fast to me.

  • Tom Glynn looks to be smoking the bike! Go team!!
  • Way to go Team. Seeing some STRONG work out there!
  • Man I just got back from a ride and checked in and everyone is killing it!

Kudos to those guys because I'm still a long ways off from having that type of fitness back in my bank
  • Do we still have the version of the tracker where we can add our own athletes/bibs?
  • Our EN gals are doing great on their bike leg!
  • Fast times all around. Tim and Tom must be pretty close to each other. Way to go team!
  • A lot of great times going on EN. Robin is running strong!
  • Sweet Jesus, is it really 100 degrees down there today?

Swim times looked a little slow, so figured no brainier must have been no wetsuit. Bike times looked killer fast, then run times across the board look slow, and I'm talking about the pros. Just checked online and it says its still 95 degrees at 5pm??
  • Looks like Tim got himself a slot...3rd in his division. Way to get it done

  • Nice job on a 3rd place finish by Tim.  Chris, Jason and Robin all with strong finishes as well.

  • WTG Patricia. Very nice 3rd AG. Great to see everyone getting it done. Congrats to all.
  • Congrats to all. Looks like the large majority of ENers finished. Which is something for 100 degrees.

Congrats to Tim Cronk who should be going to the show.

I quit at six miles on the run, then unquit. Heat and dehydration put me out out of contention (last half of bike bad), but found other things to keep going.
  • Congrats to all on IMTX! Special shout out to Tim for finishing 3rd in his division. Also big shout out to JK for completing his first IM!

Wish I could have been there to give my support; finally arrived in Austin yesterday and I can now attest to the heat in Texas...

  • Congrats to everyone and a big shout out to my local EN gal Sarah Gardner who executed yesterday like an EN Vet- exactly as planned from beggining to end! That's pretty amazing for a first Ironman.
  • Robin, I was wondering if the heat had gotten to you at the beginning of the run with the 10min early pace, but then BOOM! 7min pace at next check point, then you kept it going and finished strong! Great job even if things didn't turn out quite as planned. Congrats on your finish!
  • Sarah was very consistent on her run! WTG Sarah!
  • Thanks Fred.    Will get my race report out soon.
